On Wednesday, December 10th, the closing ceremony for the course “Educating in the Digital Age: Laboratory of School Digital Citizenship Projects” took place at the Presidente Errázuriz campus of Adolfo Ibáñez University. This initiative was organized by the UAI School of Communications and Journalism.
The event began with the Keynote Lecture “Positive Coexistence: With or Without Phones?”, led by Magdalena Claro, director of the Center for Studies of Policies and Practices in Education (CEPPE) at UC. In her presentation, the academic analyzed the challenges posed by the use of mobile devices in schools and how to manage school coexistence in this new landscape.

In addition to the talk, attendees viewed the presentation of work carried out in the School Digital Citizenship Project Laboratories. This opportunity provided insight into the concrete initiatives that teachers designed during the course for application within their own educational communities.
The gathering also served as a space to share experiences, where teachers discussed their role in the classroom and the challenges facing the future of education.
To conclude the activity, participants received their certification diplomas, thus culminating a learning process focused on providing better tools for the digital education of children and adolescents.
